My name is Paula (Hadwen) Shareski. I was born and raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada - one of the best little cities anywhere - where I live to this day with my wonderful family! Like everyone else these days, I lead a busy life. Fortunately it's mostly filled with things I love - like family, friends, books, teaching, stitching, quilting, designing, decorating, travelling...And I still love Christmas just as much as I did when I was four (see photo)! |

Because I love school SOOO much, I decided to become a teacher! And because I love reading SOOO much, I eventually became a teacher-librarian (and IT teacher). That's my day life. But I still needed a creative outlet. That where the designing and quilting comes in. |
My husband, Dean, and I will have been married for 25. (We got married when I was 19 and he, 20, so you can do the math.) We have four awesome kids: Meredith (22), Sam (19), Shea (17) and Martha (11). The photo below was taken a while ago...
Meredith is married to Kurt. She completed her 4-year music degree at Humber College in Toronto this past spring. She is now getting her education degree from the U of York in Toronto. Sam is in his second year of Engineering at the U of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon this year. Shea is in Grade 12. She wants to be a doctor and is deciding where to go to university next year. Martha is in Grade 6. She loves to write stories and pester her sister! |

Oh yeah...just about forgot. We have two dogs. Rudy the Jack Russell Terrier and Charlotte the Shar Pei. They add a lot of "interest and adventure" to our lives. Let's just leave it at that.
We live in a big, old brick house, built in 1912, that we have renovated over the past eleven years. We are hoping to sell it soon as we are building a new home!

I have great friends - many of whom also love to quilt. We get together as much as possible.

| My surprise 40th birthday party at one of our local quilt shops (The Quilt Patch), of course, with some of my best friends. |
The summer of 2002 I got the crazy idea to start my own pattern design company and "Bobby Socks Quilt Company" was born. I don't have nearly the time I'd like to devote to it, but all in good time. I give it what time I can and have really enjoyed designing patterns over the past few years. It has been a pleasure to receive email from quilters all over the world. Thanks for writing!
